Research experience
2012 - 2013: Predicting the fate of Tasmanian devils with a spatial epidemiological model.Project, University of Cambridge, University of Gothenburg.
- Development of a spatial epidemiological model using a compartmental metapopulation framework for the spreading of Devil Facial Tumour Disease on the island of Tasmania. Fitting the model to estimations from available data and predicting the fate of the species.
- Presented as a poster on the European Conference of Complex Systems, 2013.
2012 - 2013: Disease spreading in metapopulations, Project, University of Gothenburg
Applying the SEIR model in metapopulations. Investigating fluctuations due to the finite number of populations through a theoretical model and stochastic simulations. Persistence of an epidemic in a metapopulation exposed to natural birth and death.
2011 - 2012: Optimizing the optical system of an intelligent fluorosensor, Bachelor thesis, BME, Faculty of Physical Optics
- Creating a model of the optical system of an intelligent fluorosensor developed at the faculty and using it for optimizing its parameters. The device is used for measuring plant fluorescence in order to enhance plant breeding.
- Presented on the International Conference of Physics Students 2012.
2009 - 2010: Completing a system measuring plant fluorescence with a data reader and handler interface, Project, BME
- Complementing the device's software with two new functions: connection with a QR code reader and handling the incoming fluorescence and temperature data.
- Presented on the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK).
Work experience
2011 - 2012: Teaching fellow, Department of Stochastics, BME
- Holding exercise classes of first-semester mathematics for civil engineers, supervising and correcting examinations.
2010 - 2011: Website administrator, Hungarian Association of Physics Students(HAPS)
- Management of the HTML-based website and development of a new version, using the Drupal Content Management System. Participation in the International Conference of Physics Students (2011) as an coordinator.
2009 - 2012: IT administrator, committee member, HAPS local committee
- Development and maintenance of a Drupal-based website, organizing various events (e.g. presentation competition, guest lectures).
